The Getz has evolved perfectly since its first release and is now an even more refined, precise, and well-proportioned small car. The winner of many awards globally the Getz is simply a lot of fun to drive, with a spunky, functional interior and an outstanding amount of luggage space.
Available in either petrol of diesel, its spirited, efficient engine and chassis really connect you to the road, making city commuting a joy, and longer trips surprisingly satisfying. As with all Hyundai vehicles, a very high level of safety features is standard.
Getz. Exterior
Simple forms and elegant lines reflect the Getz’s European design heritage. We have crafted a new front improvement for the Getz, with sweeping lights sitting above redesigned front and rear bumpers, guiding the eye along its flanks, across flared wheel arches and up to the rear spoiler (on the 1.6 petrol and 1.5 diesel models), and then finishing with a refined and modern rear treatment.
Getz. Interior
Make more room! The Getz is one of the most spacious cars in the small car category, with a comfortable fit for five passengers and luggage. There are also many small design touches that reflect the evolution of the Getz’s interior design. Adjustable headrests front and rear, hooks for your shopping, very practical wide side bins. There is even a holder for your sunglasses.
Everything is at your fingertips with steering wheel mounted audio controls and (on the 1.6 model) a leather steering wheel and gearshift . The Getz’s reclining and double folding rear seats allow you to fit an outstanding amount of luggage.
Getz. Safety
Safety is very important to Hyundai and there are many active and passive safety systems on the Getz to protect you. Optimised crumple zones, reinforced bulkheads and side impact bars are there to carry force around and away from the passengers, giving this small car a 4-star frontal and side impact rating (2008 ANCAP and 2004 EURO NCAP safety testing).
There are four airbags on all models. The front seatbelts have pre-tensioners and load limiters to keep the passenger in the optimum position in the event of a frontal accident.
The Getz’s active safety features are designed to stop accidents happening at all; front and rear disc brakes with Anti-skid Braking (ABS) are standard. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) helps reduce driver under steer and over steer as well as Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), which applies the optimum pressure to individual brakes in all braking conditions. And if you’re braking in a tough situation, you’ll have the confidence of knowing that the Getz also features the Brake Assist System (BAS). Brake Assist applies maximum force to the brakes during emergency stopping situations. These braking technologies are standard on all models and work in harmony with ABS for superior safety.
